Friday the 13th

Hey, Hey it's my BIRTHDAY! lol! Friday the 13th, my lucky day. Wow, this will be the end of my 30's. It is really going by quickly. Comparing my 20's and 30's, my life has probably had more change in the latter. Finally got out of retail, entered my first long term relationship, bought 2 homes, got a dog, and came out. Yeah, that is a lot. My twenties were spent mostly in school, had a lot of fun though, but nothing really life changing. They say this is a journey. A journey through hell at times, at others, a walk in the park. I've always been one to look up the path, anticipate what was coming next. Much better to look around more. The road ahead will come, whether I am looking for it or not and I think it is lot better to be surprised rather than disappointed. I still have the urge to look up the path, but I'm slowly getting better at watching where I walk and keeping my feet moving.

I think I might be getting old though. Some friends went out last night, and even though I knew I was off today, it just seemed so much more pleasant to keep my ass on the couch. I didn't want to over sleep in the morning so that I could get up and walk and go for coffee. Instead I slept till 11 anyway. God I AM old!
